Roz and I were school friends, in 1967, we met up again at The Everyman recently, for the first time in 29 years. It was her first return to the city since her dad Henry Willis, musician and university lecturer, died. A great family, I named my daughter Miriam Rosamund, after Roz.

Autumn is a nice time of year. This is Ewden Valley, very beautiful, especially in Oct/Nov. Another great thing about this time of year is that all The Evening Institutions for Self Improvement are now underway, and all over the country people are engaged in learning. Learning happens when an older person tells you things, or shouts loudly from their position on the raised dias, because they are wise. This year I am studying underwater basket weaving.

Some people are naturally enlightened, what a great idea it seemed at the time to put 50 candles on a birthday cake and light them.

This is a link to my Hallam University work. My first project was to investigate the use of Interactive Whiteboards in primary school. It hit the mark, and from my evaluation and appraisal sheet (delivered by pigeon post today) I now dicover that I am 'GOOD' for the main part and 'AVERAGE' in some areas. For such a twit as me this is indeed praise. Infact I am good and average to a ratio of 2:1. My cup overfloweth...

I teach inBradford, and am very proud of what we achieve in our humble little way. I love my house in Sheffield so there is probably no chance I would actually live in Bradford. this means an 80 mile round trip everyday! but the Jag makes grey dusk of the M1 and luckily I have only 9 points on my licence for speeding. The Education support team are exceptionally good kind dedicated people (and I have worked for other authorities). This is our website. There is a host of useful links and downloadable material for teachers.
